Sharon Havelka is a multimedia fiber artist whose practice is deeply influenced by her southern upbringing as a third-generation Chinese American. Her family immigrated to the Mississippi Delta in the 1940s and later settled in Memphis, where the cultural landscape continues to shape her work. Drawing on this layered heritage, Havelka explores themes of belonging, resilience, and cultural memory through fiber-based forms that bring together history with contemporary art expression.
